There was a time when I believed staying stylish meant keeping up with every new trend.
A different handbag every season.
The latest pair of shoes.
The colour everyone was suddenly wearing.
It was exciting—for a while.
But I eventually noticed something.
No matter how much I bought, there was always another trend waiting around the corner.
I wasn’t building a wardrobe.
I was collecting moments that quickly disappeared.
Today, my approach to fashion looks very different.
I don’t try to own everything.
I simply try to own the things I genuinely love.
Fashion Should Reflect You
Fashion can be creative.
Fun.
Expressive.
But it shouldn’t make you feel like you’re constantly trying to become someone else.
Your wardrobe should reflect your personality, your lifestyle, and the way you want to move through the world.
That’s what personal style means to me.
Not dressing like everyone else.
But dressing like yourself.
Trends Aren’t the Problem
I don’t think trends are bad.
Sometimes they introduce beautiful colours, interesting silhouettes, or fresh ideas.
The difference is this:
I no longer buy something simply because it’s popular.
If a trend fits my wardrobe and feels like me, I’ll happily embrace it.
If it doesn’t, I let it pass.
There’s a quiet confidence in knowing you don’t have to own everything.
I Prefer Building, Not Replacing
Instead of replacing my wardrobe every season, I focus on building it.
One timeless blazer.
One quality handbag.
One pair of white sneakers I genuinely enjoy wearing.
Each new piece has to earn its place.
That slower approach has made me appreciate my wardrobe much more.
Confidence Can’t Be Bought
The most stylish people I’ve met all have one thing in common.
They wear their clothes with confidence.
Not because they’re expensive.
Not because they’re fashionable.
But because they feel comfortable being themselves.
Confidence will always outlast trends.

My Wardrobe Has Become Simpler
These days, you’ll usually find me wearing:
- A tailored black blazer.
- Cream trousers or relaxed denim.
- White Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
- A structured black handbag.
- Simple gold jewelry.
Some people might call that repetitive.
I call it knowing what works for me.
When I love an outfit, I don’t see a reason to stop wearing it.
Shopping Feels Different Now
I no longer shop because I’m afraid of missing out.
I shop because I’ve found something that genuinely fits my life.
Sometimes I leave a store without buying anything.
And surprisingly…
That feels good too.
Because I’ve learned that contentment is part of intentional living.
Let Your Wardrobe Tell Your Story
The most beautiful wardrobes aren’t the biggest ones.
They’re the most personal ones.
They’re filled with memories.
Favourite shoes that have travelled with you.
A handbag you’ve carried for years.
A blazer you’ve worn through important milestones.
Those pieces become part of your story.
That’s something no trend can replace.
